I was looking forward to doing nothing on my layover and by doing nothing I meant, reading The Committed and having absolutely no interaction with real people.
I had read The Refugees by Viet Thanh Nguyen and was familiar with The Sympathizer, so I knew I was in for good stuff, deep thoughts and dark humor.
The beginning does not disappoint.
